Where we work
Wisconsin based. Midwest rooted. National reach.
We are based in Wisconsin and work with businesses throughout the Midwest — and with buyers and sellers across the United States. Decades of combined professional services experience sits behind every engagement.
Local enough to visit. Connected enough to matter.
Selling a business is not a remote exercise. Someone has to walk the floor, meet the people who actually run the place, and understand why the second shift is the profitable one. Being based here means that happens in person, without a travel budget deciding how well your business gets understood.
But the buyer is a different question. The right acquirer for a Wisconsin manufacturer is frequently not in Wisconsin — they are a strategic buyer in Ohio, a search fund in Texas, a family office in Chicago or a private equity group looking for a platform in your industry wherever it happens to be. Restricting the search to who is nearby is one of the most expensive mistakes a seller can make, because competition is what produces a strong price.
So the work is local and the market is national. That is the combination that serves an owner properly.
Who we work with
- Owners of privately held companies worth roughly $2M – $50M, and any owner who wants sound advice regardless of size
- Buyers preparing to acquire — individuals, strategic acquirers, search funds and family offices
- Businesses that want to be worth more before they ever go to market
- Professional advisors whose clients need M&A guidance alongside their own work
Industries
Manufacturing, distribution, construction and trades, professional and commercial services, healthcare services, transportation, technology, retail and food. The transaction mechanics are broadly the same; what differs is what a buyer in that sector will pay for and what makes them nervous. Where a business needs genuinely specialist knowledge, we bring in someone who has it rather than pretending otherwise.
Remote where it makes sense
Valuations, buyer preparation, coaching, systems and marketing work happen perfectly well over a call and a screen. Diligence, site visits and the conversations that decide a deal happen in person. We do not charge you for travel theatre, and we do not phone in the parts that need someone in the room.

Not sure whether we cover you?
Ask. If the answer is no, we will usually know who does — and we will tell you rather than take the engagement anyway.
